JERA invests USD 330 million to buy 22% stake in Summit

In a move to establish major energy infrastructure, including power generation projects in Bangladesh, Japan’s largest energy company JERA Co., Inc. (“JERA”), has acquired a 22% stake in Summit Power International Limited (“Summit”) for USD 330 million. Summit is the largest independent power producer (IPP) in fast growing Bangladesh.

Energypac inks JV agreement with EMA Power Investment

Energypac Power Venture Ltd. (EVPL), a subsidiary of Energypac, has signed a joint-venture agreement with EMA Power Investment Ltd. bringing in $16 million foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country’s booming power sector, said a press release.
